Well, Shit
Morning Comrades.
I had and have written a piece in lieu of all of the politics that has been so omnipresent these last few days that I am not going to be sharing with you today. Essentially, I was a little fed up and had dedicated a solid amount of time to the question of identity and materialism, especially how they relate to our ever growing insane reality as capitalism continues to serve up new contradictions for us to navigate.
It’s a good piece until I came across a number of essays by Domenico Losurdo that I had either forgotten or unconsciously ignored, I am not sure, that have had me rethinking a lot, not only about what I had written but on the subject as a whole. Truthfully, I am not in the business of taking up your time with ideas and actions that I am now rethinking. So, no dispatch today. It is what it is, and I’d rather be honest and as good as I can be than waste your time. In an ideal world I will rework the piece and send it out next week. I think it is really important to constantly check yourself and your ideas and thoughts because just as the world changes so do you, logically, have to. No one is going to give you the education to free yourself, but yourself. I need to rethink this one a little and I am sure you’ll be just fine without a dispatch from your loyal communist life coach for today.
In an attempt to make up for it though, here is a new playlist. Very much in the line of the old Black Lodges Weekly Jams, it’s just a collection of tunes that made me “vibe” at that moment. It’s all over the place with some metal, post-punk, alt-country and a lot of jazz, from Japan to West Africa, as well as some house and hip hop for whatever reason, that has been creeping into my music here lately, which is odd, but somewhat welcome.
Thanks for sticking around comrades.
I’ll be back next week.
Smooches.
