Weekend Edition
A few personal words before we start. As with most of Europe, Germany, where I live, is going back into a lockdown and these next few weeks are going to be testing, more so than the majority of the year has been. Both the personal and societal strain are more than palpable, I certainly can only remember a few world-changing events that have been as taxing as this. With that, if anyone needs it, I am here to chat, email, text, group zoom calls, you name it. I can’t promise to be Mr. Super Positive but I am going to be stuck here dealing with my own problems but here it is. If you need the company, virtually, I’ll do my best to make time. Maybe even set up an hour a day for a Black Lodges Zoom Chat just so we have a place to vent. Just a thought for the day.
Today is the last day that this weekends surprise drop is available. Click on any of the pictures to be taken to the online store and support this little outfit, it is as always more than appreciated.
A few words about the last few days, some of these I am going to tackle in more depth this coming week, despite the looming US election. By now, I am hopeful that the news from Warsaw have made it into your information bubbles. Not that I was or am surprised by it to be fair but it still occupies a relatively significant part of my thinking day. I was utterly dismayed at the governments recent law in regards to abortion but again, not surprised given the large anti-abortion protest in the early 90s and the sway the Catholic church has had on Poland since the early days of Solidarność, in modern times any way. Seeing the massive protests in Warsaw these last days are heartening to say the least and I am personally, incredibly proud that so many of my friends are there. Stay tuned and the read the article linked in the picture for some background.
For some participatory fun on Sunday here is a little quiz in regards to possible left-wing ideologies for you to enjoy. Below are my results and feel free to click on the picture to get taken to the test.
Another week of total political failure ended in the UK on Friday with the suspension of Jeremy Corbyn from the Labour Party. I will be writing about that this coming week but for now, and as much as I value the BBC, the often ignored politicalization of it needs also be addressed:
