Morning Comrades! This is the last week where there is no difference between the free and paid-for newsletter. After this week, the free newsletter will essentially be what you were used to seeing from me over on IG - doodles, stories and playlists, 5 days a week. There are a number of things that I wanted to talk to you all about- first, the damn playlists. Now, I enjoy making them but they don’t get any noticeable traction through here- or that is how I am seeing it over here. Is there something I doing wrong linking them or are you all done with them? Do let me know, I am super curious.
Secondly, product: I would say that most outstanding orders for those that opted for the UPS version should have received yours by now. Good news, or rather semi good news, is that German Mail is now opening up regular shipping back to the US BUT via ship, not plane. That means a 6 week delivery time from the time your outstanding orders leave this house. I will email you all separately over the next few days to see who wants what. Truth be told, at this stage I am worried about the product arriving in the US but USPS simply ignoring international parcels, but that is a gut feeling.
There is a slew of new product in the making. A collab with 3Chord Politics, Steal Works aka John Yates as well as Danger Stranger over on IG. I’ll be setting those up over the next few weeks. There is also a special Riot piece dropping soon, probably in two weeks, and I’ll be teasing that through here as soon as I have that in my hands. I am also working on some limited re-purposed jackets that should be ready come late October. If there is anything you think I am missing seriously let me know.

Now this I don’t even know how to call, I came across a number of mentions about this yesterday and thought it was a spoof, turns out it is not. Civvl is connected to a larger—and real—gig economy company called OnQall, which describes itself as an app that provides "on-demand task services to non-urban communities beyond main city areas." OnQall is the developer behind other, more believable TaskRabbit-esque apps, like LawnFixr, CleanQwik, and MoveQwik. Given the fact that Civvl is advertising all over the country and that OnQall, though not popular, does exist, it seems as though Civvl actually is an attempt to simplify the process of evicting people who cannot pay their rent during a pandemic.
