Morning Comrades.

To finish off the week, a broader topic, more of an inspirational call of intent. There is a lot of context to give, or rather, a classic case of ADHD presenting too many different threads of thought that always result in the same understanding that resulted in today’s substack. In a nutshell, I find it absolutely warranted to look around ones life and go: yeah, no, this is not ok, this is not how I want to life let alone accepting, it is what it is. As often as I say this, it really doesn’t have to be this way and the older I get the more I despise the manufactured and demanded individualist doomerism and submission to our existence the capital class has created, solely, to extract every inch of value we produce for their enrichment. Yes, I am talking about the totality of capitalism and not only my refusal of it, but my belief that we can have so much more than what is being offered.

Where does that thought come from though? Historically, we can look back at our recent history where, after periods of intense struggle, the capitalist class has given more of wealth we generated than previously known, in shapes of “socialist” reforms, periods such as the New Deal in the US and the establishment of the NHS in England for example. Even then, these reforms are entirely built on the backs of the working classes and again, were only achieved after violent struggles, or the premise of violence. Not surprisingly, my own personal ideas go much further than a brief alleviation from the suffering capitalism demands of us, much much further, yet the question remains: considering the fact these brief aberrations in the logical progression of capitalism were just that, very brief moments of fought for breathing space, why do we belief that we, as workers, deserve more than what is currently being given back?

Let’s get into it.
