Morning Comrades.
As with every discussion that takes place within the realm of our existence, a material and intellectual realm pre-determined by the capitalist hegemony one of the most important questions to ask is always: but for what class? With that, I wanted to offer a more detailed critique of the the capitalists claim to rights, especially in regards to states and nations and their self-serving, self-ascribed rights to do whatever they damn please.
The Marxist Critique of the State and the "Right to Exist"
From a Marxist perspective, the state is not a neutral entity that exists to serve the collective interests of all its citizens. Instead, it is a tool of the ruling class, designed to maintain the existing socio-economic order through coercive means. The concept of the "right to exist," as applied to states, is therefore inherently tied to the state’s ability to preserve its power structure. Far from being a natural or divine right, this "right" is constructed, enforced, and maintained through violence and exploitation. The state, under capitalism, functions as the protector of private property and the interests of the capitalist class, and its so-called "rights" are mechanisms to safeguard those interests.
