Morning Comrades.

Lately, I keep coming back to Fred Hampton from the Black Panthers, and specifically this line from a speech he delivered in 1969,

"We’re not metaphysicians, we’re not idealists, we’re dialectical materialists. And we deal with what reality is, whether we like it or not."

I realise that I wrote about this last week but there is more where that came from, especially considering the ever increasing, breakneck speed at which the current crop of our Western Ruling class is obfuscating their final rinsing of the working classes by reinventing reality on the daily. Or rather, what passes as reality these days considering the bastards own the majority of the communication platforms we have access to. It is not surprising then that all of us, myself included become confused similar to a deer in a headlight, with all this information overload, most of which is bullshit and we disassociate from their doings. The exact opposite needs to happen and this is what today is about, how to keep your head above their bullshit, figuring out a way to see what is happening and then acting accordingly to your need, not theirs. And yes, that is materialism, not as a trendy infographic but a tool, a tool whose use can be learned, should be learned and used at all times to keep us and ourselves sharp enough to cut through their shit.

In much of the Western world, materialist analysis—particularly in its Marxist form—has been systematically hidden from the public. This is not an accident but an intentional suppression carried out by the ruling class, whose power depends on the masses misunderstanding the nature of capitalism, imperialism, and class struggle. Without a materialist framework, people are left to interpret the world through emotion, personal experience, and media narratives, all of which distort reality in ways that reinforce existing power structures. This confusion ensures that workers and the oppressed cannot effectively challenge the system. Marxist theory helps us dissect this ideological manipulation and understand how it manifests in contemporary events. Let’s illustrate how the ruling class obscures material realities, fostering mass confusion that ultimately serves capitalist hegemony and how to fight it.
