Morning Comrades.
Thanks for everyones replies and comments to Monday’s Life Coach offering by your favourite Communist, I have read them and hopefully by the time you have received today’s dispatch, I will have answered them.
I started reading a book as I was heading to Copenhagen and today’s little take is most definitely influenced by it. The book is called “The Coming Insurrection, written by the Invisible Committee, a nom de guerre of a radical French person or group that has been active for the past 2 decades or so. I do enjoy my radical French philosophy, what we here in Central Europe lack in destructive radicalism they seem to have gotten more of it. That is also, however, important to keep in mind here, French radical theory is just that, by European standards, radical and initially, brutally destructive. Reformism never truly took hold in their radical circles and I relish it a great deal, even when I don’t always agree with it. There was an entire chapter on the idea and reality of the modern family that struck a massive chord with me. Also, something vitally important to take into consideration when you read this today, my own personal bias and history in regards to the idea of a Family, my own material reality within the construct of the family has been anything but wholesome, and with that, I am more open to critiques thereof and even more open to radical destructive ideas, in that context.
Clearly, my opinions are my own. This isn’t a mandatory philosophical evolution on the road to liberation, per sé, yet my point as a Materialist remains. As long as we value humans and our relationships with them, within the reproduction material cycles of capitalism, we remain bound to a hierarchical and oppressive idea that defines our relationships. When people such as myself speak of the absolute necessity to abolish private property, we don’t only speak of the material but of the ideological, and logically, this includes the Nuclear Family.
The nuclear family is dying and all trad-wife psyop bullshit to the contrary; the potential return of the construct “family” will be, if at all, something entirely new.
Strap in, we are going to chat & deconstruct some of these ideas that dominate so much of our life with the help of Engels and Butler.
