Morning Comrades.
I have no idea what it is like at your end of the screen but over here, summer is in full swing. Come a week or so jr. and the rest of his students are off for their 6 weeks of vacation, the nights are long as they can be here in Northern Europe and irrespective of the increasing fuckening around the world, time is being shared late into every night with the comrades, as it well should be. Especially here, in Hamburg where I live, these summer weeks are absolutely essential to re-charge for the long, dark and cold rest of the year. With that, to be clear, I don’t foresee a change in publishing schedule at this end, I’ll be cruising along with work despite jr.’s enviable summer plans but, or rather, due to the fact that it is summer I wanted to share two bits with you all, for one, a new playlist and a recommended summer reading list. Whilst the playlist definitely has everything to do with the fact that it is summer, the reading list isn’t affected by seasonal effects, it just so happens that it is summer and these books are on my list also.
Same story as per usual with these playlist, first and foremost, hit shuffle. Like the 3 years beforehand there is no curation at all, it’s just the songs that I have saved that made me vibe for whatever reason. Difference with this one, granted, is not only it’s length this time that sits a 5.5hrs but its breadth of variety in genres, again, apart from metal ( and that is debatable ) it pretty much has everything, from stoner jam sessions of the 70s, to jungle, soul, disco, rap both old and new, alternative country to house. It’s what I have been digging and what is the point of music if not to share it. Here you go. Enjoy.
