Morning Comrades.
Much of what follows is heavily influenced by The Invisible Committee and personal observations resulting from the past 30 years of resisting and mostly getting my ass handed to me. Importantly, please do not misunderstand the below as a resignation, an old man’s exhaustion and frustration, it is the exact opposite of that. Lastly, as much as this may appear as a mere case of debating semantics and linguistics it is again the opposite of that. I am not here to tone / word police anyone, as a matter of fact I am thoroughly against such juvenile identitarianism, but again that is nothing but a logical conclusion of actually doing the work rather than just yapping on about it. Touching upon Monday’s substack and the general intent of the work offered here over the last 5 years I am suggesting that we urgently need to change our focus from a reactionary resistance to an offensive move. Time is of short supply and the screws are getting tighter by the day.
The phrase "stop resisting and start winning" encapsulates a profound shift in the struggle against capitalism. Resistance alone is inherently conservative. It fights to hold ground, to react to crises, and to endure oppression rather than envisioning and actualising liberation. We must move beyond resistance toward proactive, transformative action aimed at the total abolition of capitalist society. With that, let’s get into how resistance functions as a conservative force, argues for the necessity of utopian and historical revolutionary strategies, and presents a philosophical foundation for revolutionary struggle that moves beyond mere reaction.
