Morning Comrades! I am happy to announce that this weeks charity drop is now available. I am donating all profits from this to SeaWatch, an organization most of us here in Europe probably know but for those that don’t, here is the background story. Over the last 5 years over 20,000 people, according to official statistics, have drowned and died in the Mediterranean Sea trying to reach Europe to escape the hell we have unleashed in Africa and the Middle East. In typical European fashion, the EU have created an international police force called Frontex that “protects” the EU borders by essentially forcing these migrants back across the ocean, shooting them, letting them drown and organizing migrant camps in countries such as Libya. SeaWatch is a German NGO that provides civil ( and non profit ) sea rescue by ships and air that saves people’s lives. With their selfless and heroic actions they advocate for the creation of safe and legal escape routes. Until then, there must be a common European sea rescue operation to prevent further deaths. This is where your money in exchange for this banging shirt is going.
I, once again, will highlight Emily Atkin’s “Heated” substack, a place similar to this that specifically deals with Climate Change and the corrupt bastards in the way of surviving this man-made extinction level event. With ever-increasing life threatening extreme weather and climate now reaching the “First” world it no longer is enough to raise awareness of this problem but to also offer solutions and in her latest piece for Heated Emily does just that.
Some people may read this and believe it is pointless. That we are too late. That none of it matters. The fossil fuel industry knows this is not true. Their fear of a determined, pissed off public is why they promoted campaigns of climate denial and “individual responsibility” in the first place. They knew if people were unsure about the problem, they’d waste time fighting about it instead of mobilizing to fix it. They knew if people were confused about the solution, they’d waste time trying to change themselves and each other instead of the system
Whilst this won’t make Int. News like the constant climate threat in North America, yeah, this is is happening in the South / West of Germany now whilst our corrupt, radical Christian Capitalist politicians are busy selling you more VW’s and dismantling the last bits of what was once called a Social Welfare State.
To kick off your weekends infotainment is a new episode of Philosophy Tube and quite frankly this may well be my favourite one to date. It deals specifically with Metaphysics and Social Constructs - a huge, huge topic with actual real life implications and once again Abigail Thorne takes this hugely theoretical field to current and important social issues in a manner that supersedes her contemporaries. I don’t want to give too much away but I love metaphysical philosophy and find it hugely relevant in my studies of Marxism and especially Anarchist Thought, as witnessed by constant stanning of David Graeber. Watch this!
Speaking of David Graeber, here is a wonderful talk by the man himself on a Fair Future Economy if you needed some more inspiration for our future:

I am going to offer some more hot shots from this week to end this week with. Share these where you can if you like and you know, maybe pick up a shirt, support this newsletter if you can by subscribing, sharing it with your friends and going out to do good.
