It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I positively loathe the current British Prime Minister as well as the Tory party but yesterdays “performance” in the House of Commons was so brutally indicative of his bullshit that it has to be pointed out. It would be too easy to call him inept at his job, or any job he has had, only because that is what Etonites are, inept, as well as racist upper class degenerates but let’s call it for what it is, a strategy to shift blame for the horrific, unnecessary numbers of deaths this year to everyone but himself by invoking a faux reality of nationalism. Watch this clip of his speech and see it in the context of the global right wing playbook of how to install an authoritarian government, especially in light of his comments later that day that the police and the military could be used to install “order”. Fascist Pig that he is.

Don’t ever mistake academic and / or professional titles with actual empathy or knowledge. They aren’t, but simply, keys to a hierarchical power structure.
This has been a re-occuring thought of late, again, historically proven to work but to explain: the fascist play book has always contained the idea to push the envelope and see how far us citizens are willing to give up rights & responsibilities for safety and “normality”. The road to fascism has always been paved with complacency.
As a kid I was regularly told that if I didn’t work hard, followed the rules and obeyed authorities I would end up as a garbage man. Turns out, that was a lie, that refuse collectors genuinely keep us all from dying of the plague, do so during ungodly hours and make a pretty decent living - that wage should easily be tripled but here we are.
