I am still in mid moving buzz / brain dead mode so today is going to be a running commentary on some of the shit that has been floating through my various screens. About the above, I am going to drop this updated version from the above as a mutual aid shirt this coming weekend. It’s something I made a few years ago for an idea that never materialized mostly because I wasn’t able to throw my weight behind the idea and also because online unions simply do not work. Lesson learned. Nevertheless, it will be something for May Day and for once I am planning ahead of time so that you can actually have this shirt come May Day, which this year is shaping up to be a nasty one, at least here locally. Stay tuned. The paying subscribers will be getting the regular early bird link on Thursday along with your discount code and an essay about a few things. Everyone else will be getting the link with your Friday Email.
Whilst I am in no way even remotely condoning this silly generational infighting, that is manufactured by our overlords in any case there is a certain truth to this, if you are comparing financial realities between boomers and everyone else past that generation. Granted, my generation was to a large degree still brainwashed enough by the neo-liberal poszi scheme to actually work themselves into an early grave, myself included, but how anyone age 30 or younger still finds motivation to do anything remotely associated with the rat race is beyond me. My point remains though, Class War above all else.
I hope this entire sell out shit show is the final proof anyone needed that changing any system from within is futile and/or a ploy for power. I am not cynical enough to genuinely believe that AOC set out to play the whole activist turncoat play from the get-go, but I’ll say this. The “system” is far to powerful in every aspect of its existence to be changed from within. This applies to everyone and everywhere. Capitalism’s Universalism has perfected itself to the point where any deviation from profit above else will be co-opted through manipulation and/or force before you can raise your red flag. You want change, you have to do it yourself. Our political structures exist solely to protect capital and generate profit. That’s it. Burn it all down.
This is a big one, and a correct, righteous take on Europe and it’s own reckoning. To give you an illustrative, personal example, back in 1996 when I started my History degree at a prestigious London University I asked our department why we weren’t covering the realities and effects of British Colonialism in our British History course and I was asked to leave and switch to a more “progressive” university, which I did. Considering that the global narrative of the last 400 years has been shaped by malicious protestant capitalistic vision it is beyond time to deconstruct it all, re-learn history and attack all the atrocious systems it has created.
Long story short, politicians officially work for us, we pay and we need to hold them accountable, not via elections seeing that that approach simply doesn’t work anymore but with our presence. Interpret that as you wish.
Any and all outrage against this video and the art created is pure homophobia- that’s it. Fuck all these pretend Christian Capitalistic Exploiters that utilize fear and hate for personal gain.
I’ve been speaking to a few friendly people in Myanmar these last few days and from their accounts the military coup is a lot worse than what we are being shown here. More importantly we have to talk about the total smoke show our governments are pulling, again, and across the globe. I have yet to see or read a neutral, fact based story on the financial interests at play in Myanmar but the below will give you an indication of what’s happening behind the scenes. Yes, it’s always about money, the “values” us peasants get sold on to go kill a brother/sister in a foreign land are nothing but propaganda.
It’s been interesting/wonderful to watch the people of Bolivia fight back and reckon with the US backed Fash’s over the last year- and equally worrying watching the Biden Administration, unsurprisingly of course, pick up their imperialistic rhetoric against the Lithium rich country again. Make no mistake, whatever is already happening behind the scenes to de-stabilize the popular government in Bolivia is in full swing and we need to do what we can to support, if wanted and asked for, our comrades in Bolivia as well as exert all the pressure we can on our overlords to once and for all end the destructive tool of capitalism.
Case in Point.
Lest we forget, know your enemies and fight them every which way you can, where and when you can.
