Morning Comrades.
I am certain that my own reality is absolutely not singular in regards to housing, as a matter of fact I will happily claim that we are all most likely going through the same shit, especially, if like myself, you are working for a living. Housing is one of the major contributing factors to stress and the current reality of it a massive contributing factor to precarity.
I have lived in a number of countries around the West, mostly in their respective bigger cities but never really in the country, considering where my work has always been, a country life has never been a viable option in any case. So I cannot speak on that, but once again, guessing that this also applies to the majority of you reading this. Plainly speaking, or asking rather, who here can easily afford rent, let alone buy, and why the fuck is that?
Rather than dissecting individual property realities in our respective countries, let’s dig deeper into theory, the theory or primitive accumulation - sounds ominous but it really isn’t. What it is though is one of the absolute key understandings of Capitalism according to Marx and one that can applied to every instance of Capitalism and thus help us at root cause analysis. Yup, we are continuing to sharpen our minds so that we can sharpen our tools to overcome these man-made ideas that in their entirety, quite frankly, make this life such a pain in the ass, when it doesn’t have to be.
