Podcasts, Politics and Further Reading
Good Morning Comrades! It’s been a week and a half so I am going to try and finish this one a little lighter note than the rest of this weeks emails. Try, no promises.
A few weeks ago, Woody, a radio DJ at 93X in Minneapolis dropped me a line and asked me to appear on his podcast, Change ( In The House of Pods ). It’s a podcast solely dedicated to the Deftones and there was no way I could say no to that, despite what I think and say about podcasts. I have been a fan since the early days of the band, have been more than fortunate to get to know them, spend time with them and some of you might even remember the collaboration I did with Frank last year. The talk that Woody and I did is now live and if you are into listening to me nerd out about music, art and politics this is an hour well spent. Thank you Woody for the time spent!
Here is the link to the podcast and if you click on the picture below you get take directly to spotify but you can listen to this on all the usual platforms.
Rather than the usual shit post from our overlords we are going to play a little game of perspective and show two sides to an issue. The point here is to illustrate that at this stage politics is little more than game of performative nonsense between power hungry psychopaths with deadly consequences for all of us. This shit makes me sick to my stomach and I would wager it has the same effect on you.
I am going to leave you with an incredibly well-put together reading list for all levels on socialists politics put together by the comrades over on Bread & Roses. If you are looking into entry level work on what the fuck socialism actually is and means to advanced theory and praxis in the 21st Century, this is your list. I cannot recommend this more, it is a great compilation if I have ever seen one.
See & hear you all on Monday friends.
