Morning Comrades.

I wanted to dig a little deeper into the concept, or rather, realities of contradictions and this is what today is about. All too often, myself included, we look at the world around us, especially in the world they created for us and shudder at the apparent madness, the chaos, all around us. I find myself saying “it is what it is” way too often on any given day when all the information presented to me on my little black mirror just makes my head want to implode.

It is what it is though, as adage is absolutely on point though, because these apparent contradictions are the blueprint to the realities of capitalism and thus, our existence. To be clear, a contradiction is the not the same as a paradox, even though paradoxical language and thus cultural hegemony is a mighty tool in the arsenal of the ruling classes. A contradiction is two statements which cannot be both true in the same way at the same time. A paradox is a statement formatted in such a way that it appears to contradict, but, on reflection, reveals a deeper truth. Typically, this relies on two statements not being made in the same way - “War is Peace” probably being the most infamous example thereof.

Contradictions such as what we discussed in Wednesday’s dispatch, where, despite the ever increasing stranglehold of power by the ruling classes and their ever increasing fear of losing power, are the absolute blueprint of our existence. Despite all the vested interests of liberal drama’s being shat out all over the world.

Let’s get into it.
