Nothing Changes If We Play It Safe
New Drop, Hot Shots, Antifascist Europe, Reading List, Inflation, Facebook & Climate Change. Weekend Resources.
Morning Comrades!
Not entirely sure how it is Friday, already and again and yet I have too much to go through with you here so let’s cut straight to the chase. This email is going to be full but it’s worth it all.
This weekend’s drop for Doctors Without Borders is now online. Brand new Brandalism Effort from yours truly, all profits, around 20€ per shirt to be precise, will be donated directly to those wonderful Doctors, Nurses and Workers doing the work that is necessary. Hit one of those pictures to be taken directly to the online store. This drop is live until Monday morning. As always, thank you for your interest and time and even if this isn’t for you, by all means share these through your channels. The more the merrier.
Hot Shots Episode 3 Live Now!
In this episode I talk a little about what the idea of Hot Shots actually is and ram through my favourite "Masks Off" moments from this week including: The potential war in Ukraine, MLK Day, Supply Chains, Tennis and Vaccinations, Bezos and Trains. Shorter. Not Hungover and with better sound!
Anti-Fascist Europe
A long time in the works and finally live, this most important, relevant and extremely useful tool in combating fascism in all its nasty far-right forms is something all of you can get involved in. This isn’t happening in North America just yet but maybe that’s something “someone” can get going. Click on the above to get involved, something anyone can and should do.
Antifascist Europe is an antifascist research project focused on the inter-, and transnational networks, cooperation, and interaction of far-right players all over Europe. The scope ranges from right-wing terrorist groups to fascist/neonazi comradeships, new-right fellowships, conservative think tanks, and parties (both inside and outside parliaments), on the national and European levels. What does this platform do?
Antifascist Europe, therefore, collects and provides:
information about the international activities of far-right actors including elections, terror acts, violent attacks, protests and other significant events by far-right individuals and groups
monthly country reports from various European states
scientific and journalistic research on far-right developments in different European countries
analysis of the ideological orientation, background and political agendas of far-right groups and parties on a local, national and European level.
Make this your tool and share it far and wide.
Our friends at Verso Books have just put together a great reading list of books that dare to imagine a new world, post- and without capitalism. A lot of these titles are not only heavily discounted right but form such an important, inspiring ground from which our collective life’s can flourish with a number of ideas that reimagine society as one that values people over profits, that rules democratically and collectively, and that provides for the needs of all.
Inflation and What It Really Means
There has been a lot of talk about inflation these last few days and whilst, yes, structurally, money is a social construct and all, when you are poor life gets really expensive really quick and all ideas of “social constructs” fly out the window quicker than you can say “Eat The Rich”. This person put together a brilliant, materialistic thread on what inflation means to you and me and not the bastards on Wall St. Read this, get raging, join a Union and your local Communist Group and let’s end this insanity.
Facebook, Money and Climate Change
Avaaz just published a thorough and damning report, yet again, about the role Facebook plays in enabling the anti-climate change narrative, how much money is involved and from whom to whom it goes. The depths of greed, corruption and plain dystopian evil running straight down from Zuckerberg’s pile of AI Shit Tower is beyond words, I had to read this twice to really grasp the enormity of it all. Something to spend time on over the weekend I say.
We are going to end this week with more wonderful A/V infotainment to take into the weekend. I do hope you enjoyed this week, I felt this was one of the best weeks in writing, ideas, projects and general vibe for a long time. I am always happy to hear your feedback, either comment below, drop into our Telegram Group or write me an email. Until next week and as always, I remain yours, without compromise,
V
