Just as I was going to bed last night the news out of Kentucky started coming in and I have spent the last few hours trying to go through most of it- I can’t say I am surprised but that doesn’t relinquish my deep seated hatred for the institutional injustice, racism, classism and quite frankly deep-seated fascism at play here. I cannot offer any more original analysis of what happened nor what should happen after yesterday than what you will see on your timelines these next coming days. First and foremost, we should all offer our solidarity, actual help to the family of Breonna Taylor, should they wish for it. We need to look after our own when the system we legitimize does not.
My own thoughts about how to fight these systemic injustices are most likely a little too radical for most of my US comrades, and would most likely land me in jail in the 4th Reich but so be it.
There is no reforming from the inside and there never was. This system is built to enforce white, male, rich supremacy at all costs, it is racist, classist, sexist and violently imperialistic to boot. No politician that is part of this system will reform this, if they say so, they are lying and it’s time to accept that for what it is. No matter who you vote for, the capitalists and government stay in power and you, me, your friends and fellow comrades will continue to get fucked. With that, change will only come through the realization that united we wield actual power, political, social and economic. It is up to us all to educate, organize and overthrow this cancerous, inhumane and violent system.
Going back to Kentucky and another legalization of violent, intentional murder by the police and thus the state that we give up power to represent us - what else is there to say? Defund the police?
Fuck that. Abolish that bullshit. Hold them all accountable, everyone, they are all in it for money and power and they are not on our side. It is gross to the extreme. Despite over 6 months of protest, the state, the cops, the judiciary, the entire power structure still feels so incredibly empowered that it shits on us all, and they can, simply because any serious attempt at organizing us has been crushed through violence, media, brainwashing in education and the crushing forces of capitalism that forces us all into servitude not seen since feudalism, they very thing that capitalism was meant to abolish - probably one of longest running inside jokes around.
I’ll leave you with a few hot takes from the ether, rest assured, if there is anything you think I can do, drop me a line and I’ll get this gang working.
Riot. It’s the language of the unheard.
