Never Forget, Never Forgive
Today marks the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by the Soviet army where over 1.1 million men, women and children were systematically murdered by the German 3rd Reich, realizing their final solution for every undesirable in their planned 1000 year empire. As Germans turned a blind eye or joined in the racist, hateful murder, over 6 million people were tortured, experimented on, worked to death or simply shot, gassed and burned. That number is now even by conservative estimates to be well above that number.
This is what giving up your individual responsibility to serve the weakest for the betterment of all results in. Me First. Gonna Get Mine. A nation once known for it’s philosophers, musicians, writers and artists, dedicated to social welfare, turned into one of the most grotesque, cold, hateful killing machines in modern history to serve the apparent strong. I hope this sounds familiar.
If you have ever wondered as to my personal conviction of opposing all forms of fascism, racism and their underlying causes, Auschwitz-Birkenau represents the final reason. Coming from a family, where in living memory, some fought the Nazi’s, some fought with the Nazi’s, some were thrown into concentration camps and where 80% of my grandparents generation were killed this should be a no brainer. The structures, reasons and sentiments that resulted in Auschwitz-Birkenau never went away.
It is our human duty to never forget, never forgive and do whatever it is we can to not let this happen, no matter what new shape this monster decides to appear in again.
Never Forget. Never Forgive.

Today’s rage posts are plentiful and equally hard to stomach, strap in, it’s a ride.
