Morning Comrades.

This is going to be the last in-depth dispatch of this year, well, most likely, and I will return in the new year, but you know me, there is a good chance that something will be sent out during the holidays. I get antsy.

With that, a serious subject, in regards to substack, and yes, I am aware that I am a little late on the subject, mostly due to the fact that that substack doesn’t have an “algorithm” per se, in the sense that IG etc has, for example. Over the last few days a large number of writers have shared a piece that comes from Marisa Kabas, outlining how substack has a nazi problem.

The Handbasket
Substackers Against Nazis
Hi Basketeers—Below is a letter to the Substack founders that I helped draft as part of a group of publishers seeking answers to questions about the platforming and monetizing of Nazis. We are all publishing the letter on our own individual Substacks today for visibility, and to make our readers aware of our asks and concerns…

I absolutely wasn’t aware of that, again, mostly because I read those substack I subscribe to and I am pretty selective about those. As it stands now, substack has a sizeable community of fascists and racists on here. I was aware of that, and anyone that does any work on online platforms from FB to Twitter knows this, the entire internet is awash with these fucks. No surprise there, and for the last decade or so a number of effective and very ineffective tactics have been developed to deal with this reality. Online platforms such as this always have the same core problem, no matter how much they profess to “freedom of speech” “marketplace of ideas” etc etc etc, it’s all bullshit, they exist solely to make money, be sold off in the never ending jack off circle jerk reality of tech and finance. People such as us are and need to be aware of this and use these platform to the best of our abilities WHILST we can - let’s remember that I switched to this place 4 years ago because IG blackballed my account - and that’s that.

What’s worth noting here though is that substack as a company is not only pulling the usual bullshit silent treatment in regards to these realities, again, nothing surprising, but, and this is the fucked up part, are monetarily benefitting from those lunatics on here and furthermore, actively supporting the bigger accounts. Now, substack has always been home to some of the more outlandish US lunatics, mostly high balling press jerk off that in my reality are nothing but fascist goon squads either in pay of and wanting a job at the CIA, so again, nothing new and whilst being aware of it, it never got under my skin. It is the same on all the platforms we use. Again, it’s always been a question of tactics and strategies. Financing these fucks though is a different story. If you use this platform I would ask you to check out the original letter and share it here. The more attention it gets the better.

With that, let’s talk mouse shit and your breakfast cereal.
