F**k 'Em & Their Law
Trump is not going to prison, he is not going to be punished to the extent that he should and nor is anyone from his team, in the Republican Party, in the media nor his money people. Irrespective of all the bullshit you have and will continue to be hearing from the so-called “outraged” motherfuckers on whatever political aisle they’re sitting on, the media and talking heads, nothing of substance will happen because, and yes, let’s quote Carlin once again, it is one big club and you are not in it.
All this performative wailing about accountability, justice, the need to heal for the U.S. to move forward is just another act in the Greek Tragedy called, “We Gonna Fuck You And You Better Say Thank You” aka the last stages of a brutally oppressive, capitalistic empire live on twitter. As much as Trump and his entire merry band of amateur fascists deserve to be put up against a wall, they deserved this, at the very least, 5 years ago but even more importantly, so did essentially every one that profited from Trump and Trumpism, and that’s essentially everyone in D.C. With that, of course they aren’t going to punish him to uphold to Republic, the values on which millions of innocent civilians have been murdered in the so called War for Democracy, as that would mean that the state apparatus would have do impeach itself and the entire western world would have to hold itself accountable. Sure, they are and will be putting on a nice show, DC is merely the biggest stage for Hollywood and Wall St. and they will hope that this will placate most of us enough to remain in sheer terror of having to survive under their undemocratic, capitalistic rule, during a deadly global pandemic. Oddly enough I wrote a shorter essay for the paying subscribers here Wednesday on accountability and writing, loosely based on a Hunter S. Thompson quote from his first book “The Rum Diary”:
I want to make a promise to you, the reader. And I don’t know if I can fulfill it tomorrow, or even the day after that. But I put the bastards of this world on notice that I do not have their best interests at heart. I will try and speak for my reader. That is my promise. And it will be a voice made of ink and rage." - Hunter S. Thompson
With that, accountability comes and can only come from us, especially when the entire 1% and their puppets we call our civil servants are pitted against us, truly against us.
To clear the palate and offer you something for the weekend here is a little, big gem that I stumbled across yesterday for anyone interested in Philosophy, certainly something I forwarded to my students already and that comes with plenty of happy smiles from this end:
Even though this isn’t getting as much attention in our profit, sensationalist 24hr News Cycles, it is worth to continuously read into the developing situation in Myanmar, all the more so now that the US is throwing its weight around that geopolitical hotspot. Here is an article that Ic an highly recommend to anyone that wants to dig a little deeper.
The last article from the investigative side of my brain that I wanted to forward to you ties into the spectacle that is D.C. - and who us really in charge. A lot has been written about the Koch Brothers, singular these days and whilst they go head to head in their fucked up proto-fascist corporate hellhole, and yes I don’t fuck with Libertarians, with the Mercers, you all might remember how the remaining Koch expressed regret for his political actions recently. We all called bullshit but just like the exoneration of the war criminal Bush II this was kind of worked, but alas, of course it was Oprah Style Bullshit.
Now, to finish the week, here is a array of wildly insane hit shots as we watch the 1% take their masks off and we remain sitting live tweeting the whole thing until they switch off the internet.
Not that I have been counting, but I think it’s day 23 and guess what, none of that has happened. Suckers.
To leave you on a good note, do take a moment to think on this below and maybe even go as far as looking into what you could do in your house, apartment complex, your street to engage in one of the most rewarding activities I know.
